Again we have outperformed both the UK and the South West in footfall levels during last week, wk41. With similar figures to week 39, we achieved levels 26% above last year, while the UK was 37% down and the South West was 22% down on the same week last year. Again it is hard to explain why as the weather was not particularly good. The only explanation I can think of is that people who would normally take a late sunny break abroad to prepare for winter are now looking for UK destinations for that late break. Whatever the reason we are hoping that Dartmouth businesses have been able to take advantage of our visitor levels to convert into income for the towns economy.
