Businesses gearing up for the Dart Music Festival

Dartmouth’s festivals play a very big part in driving the economy of the town, and none more so than the ever popular Dartmouth Music Festival which is imminent. The Committee have asked me to encourage the town’s businesses to gear up for the throng. Clearly this is a great opportunity for you to start the season with a bang because the Music Festival is a unique event that encourages visitors and locals alike to wander all over the town from performance to performance.

You can help the Festival meet its running costs which all come from donations, collections and sponsorship. The Dartmouth Music Festival has always stuck to the admirable principle that all performances should be free, so they need sponsors to make the whole event possible. This is the press release I received from the committee (all volunteers!).

With thousands of visitors, the annual Dart Music Festival is gearing up to its 19th year on 13,14 & 15 May. The Festival brings vibrancy, fun and friendship to the town and this free and inclusive weekend event is hugely enjoyable for all, locals, visitors and businesses alike.  Over the weekend there will be 500+ musicians, 70+ free events and if you benefit in any way from the Festival, just by enjoying the atmosphere or as a business please think about sponsoring or donating to help this small committee and volunteers continue. Chairman Pam Braakenburg says, ‘it’s fabulous working with such a committed and hardworking group  but it can get scary when we realise the amount we have to fund-raise each year to pay for the acts and  associated costs’.

You can buy the online Programme that is available to download now by clicking on the programme.

There are several levels of sponsoring with many rewards and other simple ways to donate.  So if you can help or if you would like to become a volunteer, please get in touch via our website www.dartmusicfestival.co.uk/sponsorship/ for more info.
