Here are the Dartmouth footfall figures for last week (week 47). You can see that the decline is consistent YOY across the country. There is little we can do to influence this decline so we can only wait to find out what level we will be on when the lockdown ends in just over a week.
Springboard have also sent me their UK summary report which you can read by clicking below.
In Summary they say:
Latest data from retail experts Springboard reveals that for the period Sunday 15 to Saturday 21 November;
• Footfall across all retail destinations throughout the UK was -55.4% last week in comparison to the year before
• Footfall in England was -59.8% with the other three nations improving to -34.3% in Scotland, -30.4% in Northern Ireland and -29.6% in Wales
• Regional city centres continue to be hardest hit with footfall remaining at -64.4% and -80.4% in Central London
Please see the full press release attached and below. If you would like any further data or commentary from Diane Wehrle, Insights Director at Springboard, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
